The ASEAN Member States recently launched the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) 2025 video series at the sidelines of the 31st ASEAN Summit on 12 November 2017 in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines, to promote the vision of the Master Plan in advancing ASEAN Connectivity.
The Master Plan envisions a seamlessly and comprehensively connected ASEAN that will promote competitiveness, inclusiveness and a greater sense of community.
The launch attended by the ASEAN Connectivity Coordinating Committee, Australian Ambassador to ASEAN and other dialogue partners screened the first video in the series entitled ASEAN Connectivity: Connecting a Region.
H.E Ms. Jane Duke during her speech at the launch mentioned “ the MPAC 2025 video is an excellent initiative of ASEAN’ part to help spur the interest of business, investors and other stakeholders to participate in and reap the benefits of ASEAN connectivity”. “It highlights ASEAN’s attractions, including its large, young and productive workforce, its large and growing consuming class, and the gains made in digital technologies”
Remaining companion videos that will follow on each of the MPAC 2025 strategic areas namely sustainable infrastructure, digital innovation, seamless logistics, regulatory excellence and people mobility will be released over the first half of 2018.
The production of the videos has been supported by the Government of Australia through the ASEAN-Australia Development Cooperation Phase II (AADCP II).
